Hiya, I’m Summer!
After welcoming my daughter, Lyla, in January 2024, I quickly found myself in the thick of sleep deprivation. It was exhausting, and before long, I was diagnosed with postnatal depression and anxiety. I couldn’t see a way out.
That’s when I reached out to a baby sleep consultant—and wow, what a game-changer! The support I received was truly life-changing. It sparked something in me, and I thought… why not take the leap and become a baby sleep consultant myself?
So, here I am! I completed my training through Baby Sleep Consultant and became qualified in early 2025.
Alongside this, I’m also a registered nurse. I’m passionate, down-to-earth, and so excited to help other families get the sleep they deserve!
Summers tips around sleep environment (getting her to sleep in sleep space during day using sleep aids like at night), using settling techniques to help join sleep cycles together and advice around wake windows (ensuring Juni was awake for long enough to increase her sleep drive) were super helpful! I found it challenging (to change my own daily schedule mostly) but very rewarding. The structure, wisdom and feedback have been invaluable, and Summers encouragement to do my own detective work to figure out how I might be getting in my own way that has given me the greatest breakthroughs.
Summer was absolutely amazing. The support she offered us was more than we could have ever asked for and always went out of her way to give us as much information as possible to make an informed decision on Harvey’s sleep. Her approach was gentle and respectful. We have gone from 5-8 wakes a night and co-sleeping to just 2 wake and in his cot as well as ditched the dummy.
